Se il sito irs rilascia una versione digitale del documento può anche darsi che sia possibile inviarlo in quel modo durante la procedura di registrazione.

Però ci può stare, così come accade con la SIAE, che certe procedure/documenti debbano arrivare anche in forma cartacea o via fax (una volta).

Comunque se ti dai una guardata con calma alle FAQ ti accorgerai che non è un operazione da fare con "urgenza".

Purtroppo la SIAE fa schifo e tra l'altro non c'è un ente alternativo in italia decente... storia vecchia.

Se non si produce musica che avrà diffusione e promozione principalmente nel mercato anglosassone, iscriversi all'ascap è abbastanza inutile e forse non semplifica la vita.

Se si produce musica che poi non verrà eseguita dal vivo né sincronizzata con prodotti multimediali come film, tv, etc, l'iscrizione ad un ente tradizionale non porta particolari vantaggi.

Siamo in una lunga fase di passaggio....

Maurix, in quel modulo w8ben, al rigo 7 "Reference Number(s) (See Instructions) non ho capito bene cosa inserire... secondo voi?
Ecco cosa dice la guida:
Line 7. This line may be used by the filer of Form W-8BEN or by the withholding agent to whom it is provided to include any referencing information that is useful to the withholding agent in carrying out its obligations. For example, withholding agents who are required to associate the Form W-8BEN with a particular Form W-8IMY may want to use line 7 for a referencing number or code that will make the association clear. A beneficial owner can use line 7 to include the number of the account for which he or she is providing the form. A foreign single owner of a disregarded entity can use line 7 to inform the withholding agent that the account to which a payment is made or credited is in the name of the disregarded entity (see instructions for line 1)."
